What is Microsoft Copilot?

That depends on who you ask. ;) Microsoft Copilot is the new name for Bing Chat/Bing Chat Enterprise after the rebrand, see the announcement: Announcing Microsoft Copilot, your everyday AI companion.

During 2023 Microsoft introduced AI functionality in many parts of their products and services, copilots. The different categories embedded copilots, copilots as add-ons and build your own were explained in the video Understanding copilots at Microsoft.
