What is Microsoft Copilot?

From a marketing perspective, there are branded products such as Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot for Sales and even a product name called Microsoft Copilot. Seeing copilot definitions the words Large Language Models (LLMs) and cognitive tasks are often used. In the article AI Explained the following definition is seen:
A copilot is an application that uses modern AI/LLMs like GPT-4 to assist people with complex (cognitive) tasks.
On the Microsoft Adoption pages the concept is explained as follows:
Microsoft offers a variety of Copilot assistants that can be adopted to enhance user productivity and creativity. Copilot is integrated into various Microsoft platforms and products, providing a more interactive and efficient digital workspace.
Microsoft Copilot Studio
This is where you can build your own copilots. In November 2023, Microsoft Power Virtual Agents became a part of the Microsoft Copilot Studio.

Copilot in/for Sales
Copilot for Sales is the current name of the stand-alone copilot to be used with Dynamics 365 Sales. Formerly known as Sales Copilot and even further back knows as Viva Sales. Copilot in Sales refers to the built-in copilot functionality in Dynamics 365 Sales. Copilot for Sales refers to the stand-alone copilot for Dynamics 365 Sales.
