Already in the early versions Microsoft Dynamics CRM could be extended to support any relationship and [[xRM]] became a concept among the people implementing solutions build on this platform. Over the years there have been several versions of this software. It started as On-Premise software, an online version was introduced and the On-Premise version and online version continued to evolve separately.
