During 2023 Microsoft introduced AI functionality in many parts of their products and services, copilots. The different categories embedded copilots, copilots as add-ons and build your own were explained in the video [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8Qc9-0mPFE Understanding copilots at Microsoft].
Copilot can be seen from a marketing perspective, where there are branded products such as Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Copilot for Sales. Copilot can be seen from a general perspective and common for the different copilots are that they are powered by LLMs and they support users with complex cognitive tasks.
