During 2023 Microsoft introduced AI functionality in in many parts of their products and services, copilots. From a marketing perspective, there are branded products such as Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot for Sales and even a product name called Microsoft Copilot. From a concept perspective, copilots have different categories, such as embedded copilots, copilots as add-ons and build your own. Copilot can be seen from a marketing perspective, where there are branded products such as Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Copilot for Sales. Copilot can be seen from a general perspective and common for the different copilots are that they are powered by LLMs and they support users with complex cognitive tasks.
